Wanted: Junior Headhunters

The Statia Government is working on a new programme called Statia 2026. The goal of this programme is to use the year 2026 as a benchmark year to support and connect ongoing conversations about the future of our island.

The programme focuses on four key themes: nature, culture, heritage and the visitor economy. The projects currently included in this programme are:

Celebrating Statia Day 2026 - Morning programme, special guests and First Salute, afternoon programme, and open-air expos;

The Region Deal  - Charlie’s Place, Fort Oranje and Government guesthouse, Botanical Garden, Battery Amsterdam/Rotterdam and Visitor Economy.

The Statia Government recently advertised a vacancy and is actively looking for a programme manager to lead the shaping and implementation of this programme. To help this process along, we are looking to work with three dedicated young professionals.
