New environmental legislative framework

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management is preparing the introduction of a new environmental legislative framework on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. Part of the framework is to establish general binding rules for companies with a moderate and higher environmental impact. These regulations are defined in the so called “Inrichtingen en Activiteitenbesluit BES” (Establishments and Activities Decree, IAB-BES). Each island can define its own specific environmental standards within the general framework of the IAB-BES. Please find the Inventory IAB companies St. Eustatius.
