In the European Union it is agreed upon that the vaccination certificates issued have a limited validity for traveling. The certificate is valid for 9 months after the last vaccination (second dose).

The Dutch government and Sint Eustatius will implement this guideline as of February 1st, 2022.

This means that you need to have your last vaccination (the 2nd or the 3rd which is the booster shot) within the last 9 months to be considered as fully vaccinated. The last vaccination date needs to be at least 2 weeks before your travel date.

For example. Did you get your last vaccination before the 30th of April 2021 ? In this case your vaccination status is not valid for traveling anymore as of the 1st of February, 2022.

Vaccinated persons who recently tested positive can use a so-called ‘herstelbewijs’. This can be used instead of a booster shot and is valid for a period of 6 months after the positive COVID-19 test result.

If you deliver a positive test result, please send your name and a copy of your ID to vaccinationregistration@statiagov.com and request a so called “herstelbewijs” which is a QR-code with a validity of 6 months after the positive test result.
