About The Finance Unit
The Finance Unit is responsible for managing the revenues and expenditures of Sint Eustatius, ensuring transparency and accountability in the financial operations. This commitment to sound financial management is essential for the island's good governance.
Each year, the Finance Unit publishes a comprehensive overview of Sint Eustatius's finances, including the annual budget, quarterly reports, amendments, and project administration. Financial details are shared through the Planning and Control (P&C) products report, offering clear insights into expenditures and revenues.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Unit
Financial Administration and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date financial records and provide clear, accurate reports for stakeholders.
Planning and Budgeting: Provide clear processes of financial planning, financial control and consolidated P&C products.
Advice and Support: Offer financial advice to assist decision-making by the management, Executive Council, and Directors.
Internal Oversight: Provide advice on setting up, developing and managing the administrative organization and the reviewing of internal processes and procedures
External Accountability: Prepare external reports and ensure transparency and accountability.
Additional Responsibilities: Accounts payables, accounts receivable, billing, budgeting, collections, financial reporting, governmental levies, assist with the payroll administration and the projects administration.
