Care and Youth Caribbean Netherlands signs contract with Medicair for emergency medical flights

Care and Youth Caribbean Netherlands (ZJCN) has signed a two-year agreement with aviation company Medicair to carry out emergency medical flights from the Caribbean Netherlands.

The agreement ensures the continuity of fast and reliable medical evacuations for insured residents of Statia, Bonaire, and Saba.

Medicair is an experienced air carrier and has been providing air ambulance flights for residents of the Caribbean Netherlands for over ten years. This contract offers a stable solution for regional air transport of patients in medical emergencies. In addition, SARPA remains available as an alternative should Medicair be unable to operate a flight.

ZJCN, Medicair, and Fundashon Mariadal (FM) are working closely together to ensure the flights run efficiently. FM provides its own medical personnel for the flights and is also responsible for flight planning.

With this partnership, ZJCN is taking an important step in strengthening emergency medical dispatch services in the Caribbean Netherlands, benefiting residents of Statia, Saba, and Bonaire.
