Public Works and Services provides maintenance services within Statia Government and maintains the island’s infrastructure. Below is an overview of the services provided:

Services Offered

Tractor Services

Farmers, both registered and unregistered, can request the use of the government tractor for field preparation and planting.

• Fee for registered farmers: $0.45 per hour
• Fee for unregistered farmers: $0.80 per hour

Cleaning Services

• Domestic Cleaning: Government buildings are cleaned daily to maintain hygiene standards.
• Public Cleaning: Cleaning crews ensure the upkeep of public roads and residential areas.

School Bus Management

The department oversees school transportation, ensuring safe and reliable services for students.

Public Infrastructure Maintenance

• Repairing and resurfacing public roads, including pothole management.
• Maintaining government buildings.
• Upkeeping community spaces, such as parks, forts, and Glasgut.

Water Catchment Management

Constructing and maintaining water catchments to support sustainable water resources.

Project Execution

Implementing small-scale projects that contribute to community and infrastructure development.
